In order to recognize the stimulating requirements of the Commercial worldand answer the call of changing the corporate environment, the Commerce labs were introduced as a new concept that started with the aim of practicing what students learn in the classroom, viz, accounting softwares used in businesses like- Tally ERP- 9 and E-Filing of various returns (INCOME TAX and GST), case studies, E- presentations/ seminars, business documentaries/ films etc. Students can try out various experiments in the field of Commerce in the Lab. The PG Department of Commerce and Management has a two well equipped, ICT based and technologically furnished laboratories.These arrangements provide environment for learning and practicing, to deliver practical exposure to the students.
The SMART LAB- equipped with ICT facilityof the department wasinauguratedon 7th February, 2013. The lab aims to provide technology support necessary for students and faculty to enhance their capabilities and promote ICT based education. The students pursuing post-graduation give E- presentations. The faculty also takes assistance to deliver their resourceful lectures. Various guest lectures, presentations, seminars and outreach programs are held in this technologically supported lab.

The aspects like Create a Company, Create Single and Multiple Ledgers, maintain Vouchers, inventory valuations , reconciliation , Profit & loss account and Balance Sheet.Computer Aided Accounting labs are fully equipped with Systems and latest Software to provide hands on training about Creation of Company and practicing numerous accounting entries in the Tally ERP9 Software.The Computer Aided Accounting lab has 24×7 Internet facility (equipped with 10 computers) in a 20×20 room.

Chemical characterization entails both sample preparation and analysis. Traditional wet chemistry techniques are used to modify paving and concrete materials and to prepare and condition samples for further testing and analysis. The Chemistry Laboratory complex includes a traditional chemistry laboratory for wet chemistry and sample preparationlaboratories.
This laboratory has all the necessary equipment for preparation of samples and standards for its various analyses. The laboratory houses all the essential equipment required for this purposes
Home Science draws its content from the spheres of both Science and Art, and thereby acts as an interdisciplinary field and prepares the students for the two most important goals in their lives – caring for their home and family as well as constructing an accomplished and successful career. The different branches of Home Science are Food and Nutrition, Clothing and Textiles, Home Management and Child Care and Development.
Food and Nutrition includes the nature and constituents of food, the relationship between body and food, nutrition deficiencies, meal planning, food production, food styling, food preservation, and food adulteration. Clothing and Textiles covers the selection, construction, nature, financial impact, weaves, dyeing and printing, quality and colour parameters of fibres, clothing choices and taking care of clothes. Home Management includes the concepts, principles and processes of management of the selection of appropriate equipment for home, its operation, care and maintenance, knowledge of decision making, housing, work simplification, interior decoration, fuel and energy management. Child care and Development includes the knowledge of the basic needs of a child like food, clothing, bathing, fresh air, play, sleep, understanding the child’s physical, mental and emotional growth, and recognition and taking care of illnesses and wounds.
Our college has three well equipped Home Science labs- one for Food and Nutrition, with all the latest kitchen appliances and technology, where the students can themselves carry out food production, preservation and styling, the second for Clothing and Textiles, equipped with sewing machines and all the related tools, for the hands on experience of the students on fiber and cloth, and the third for Home Management, where Interior decoration techniques like Rangoli or flower arrangements, etc. are showcased and taught to the students.
This course assists the students to build their career in Healthcare and Nutrition, Service and Tourism, Teaching and Research, Food Production Industry, Textile industry and Nutrition and Dietetics. In addition to these, there are various self employment opportunities as well, like Bakery/ Confectionery, Fashion Boutiques, Catering businesses, Hobby Centres, Child Care Centres, Interior Designing, etc.
Music is the medium through which one can express their thoughts and feelings. It is the universal language of the pious souls of all time and places. The three fold arts of music namely Vocal Music, Instrumental Music and Dance have varied from time to time and space to space according to the aesthetic taste and liking of the people. The course endeavors to be the vanguard of providing a Music education of the highest caliber, helping students take the initial steps or take their carrier in music to higher levels.
In the Music labs students are provided with the ideal learning environment- a careful balance of both structure and creativity. Performing opportunities, workshops, seminars and masters classes by visiting artists are just some of the activities organized for the students to learn beyond the classroom. Our recording studio are fitted with top-notch recording equipments and instruments. These facilities are open to all students for practice and rehearsals. Our main aim to provide Music Education is to build character and personality, preparing students to enter the Music Field as Performer, Arrangers, Composer, Song Writers, Producers Teachers and more. Various instruments such as Harmonium, Tabla, Sarangi, Been, Tumbi, Dhol, Dholak, and different genres of singing like Classical vocal, folk Music, Western singing, Ghazal and Sufi music are taught to the students to enhance their knowledge and creativity in the field of music.

Office management involves the planning, organizing, coordinating and controlling office activities with a view to achieve business objectives. It is concerned with efficient and effective performance of the office work. The success of a business depends upon the efficiency of its office. Our college has a well equipped Office Management lab with PCs and workstation hosting several software packages that are linked through a local area network. This helps in creating a focused work environment, and guiding and coordinating the activities of office personnel to achieve business goals. The lab mainly provides opportunities to learn the use of the latest technology such as using Stenography, personal computers, word processing, spreadsheet and desktop publishing software to run the office smoothly. This course helps the students to build their career in Government, Semi government as well as Private sectors for e.g Post offices, Railways, Courts, Teaching, Banks, and Multinational Companies, Schools and Colleges etc.
The course develops skill to produce T.V. and video programs, manage and organize production team. It is also gives knowledge about direction, camera principles, sound mixing, editing, lighting,designing,anchoring,news reading, radio jokey,script writing, studio techniques and pre production and post production digital processing.the course gives you a various career option like Radio, public relation,journalism,film making, and many more.The department providing teaching and training in camera handling,video editing,photography,news reading,film production,video production,news reporting,sound recording.
