Introduction

The main objective of the department is to create and provide a healthy and conducive environment that inspires students to recognize and explore their own potential for building up confidence in themselves. The primary endeavor and responsibility of the faculty has been focusing on multi-facet development of the students so that they may prove to be an asset for the country.

The department of economics has well qualified, adequate and competent faculty with long teaching experience.
The main objective of the department is to create and provide the healthy and conducive environment that inspires students to recognize and explore their own potential for building up confidence in themselves.
The department has an economics association in which every year students from various classes are appointed as office bearers and members. They organize and manage a variety of academic and cultural activities for the students of economics, in which students participate whole-heartedly, and are duly rewarded for that. This inculcates sense of responsibility, team spirit, managerial skills and confidence to face competition among the pupils.
The students have shown exceptionally good academic results and have also excelled in co-curricular activities.
We have very well-placed alumnae working at various posts in banks, private firms, colleges and schools.
Students get the benefit of department’s own book-bank which consists of numerous text books and reference books that are issued to them as and when they require.
