Rotaract Club of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar Holds Eye Check-up Camp in Village Usmanpur

The Rotaract Club of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, in collaboration with Rotary Club
Jalandhar West, organized an Eye Check-up Camp in Village Usmanpur, Jalandhar.

This noble initiative aimed to provide essential eye care services to the underprivileged and raise
awareness about the importance of vision health.

The camp witnessed the esteemed presence of Dr. Amandeep Singh Arora from Arora Eye Hospital
& Retina Centre, who, along with his team, conducted a comprehensive eye examinations for the
villagers.

Dr. S.P.S. Grover (Rotarian), Rotarian President Stephanie Urchick, President T.P. Singh Bajaj, P.S.
Bindra, Rotarian Kuldeep Singh, Secretary Tarsem Singh Bhola, and Sarpanch Mrs. Sonia also
graced the occasion with their valuable support.

Representing PCM S.D. College, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada and Principal Prof. (Dr.)
Pooja Prashar were present to encourage and support the humanitarian effort. Their participation
reinforced the institution’s commitment to community service and social responsibility.

The camp successfully benefitted numerous residents, providing them with free consultations, eye
check-ups, and guidance on vision care. Many individuals diagnosed with vision impairments were
advised on further treatment and corrective measures.

The event concluded with a note of gratitude extended to the medical team, Rotary members, and
college representatives for their unwavering dedication to this philanthropic cause.

President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other members of the
managing committee and Principal Prof.(Dr) Pooja Prashar applauded the initiative of the Rotaract
Club and its Incharge Mrs Kawaljit Kaur, which stands as a testament to the college’s vision of
extending education beyond classrooms and actively contributing to the well-being of society. Mrs
Shikha Puri, Dr Indu Tyagi and Mrs Seema Tiwari were also part of this event.
