PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar Organizes National Webinar on “The Global Perspective of Hindi Literature”

The Department of Hindi of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, under the guidance of IQAC, organized a National Webinar on the topic “The Global Perspective of Hindi Literature.” The esteemed resource person for the event was Dr. Paan Singh, former Head of the Department of Hindi at Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla.

In his insightful address, Dr. Paan Singh emphasized the growing importance of the Hindi language on both national and international platforms. He encouraged students to explore the various career opportunities that Hindi offers, including teaching, banking, journalism, literary writing, and media. He asserted that Hindi is not only widely spoken within India but is also gaining global recognition and respect.

Dr. Singh further pointed out that Hindi is now spoken by more people globally than English and is being taught and appreciated in many foreign countries.

The webinar concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. (Mrs.) Neena Mittal, who expressed her gratitude to the resource person and all participants. President Sh. Naresh Budhia Ji, Senior Vice President Sh. Vinod Dada Ji, other esteemed members of the Managing Committee, and Principal Dr.Pooja Prashar congratulated the Department of Hindi for the successful organization of the webinar.
