Introduction

The Department of Music is one of the oldest departments of the institution which has retained its eminence for years. The department has both Music Instrument and Music Vocal as subjects. the objective of the department is not only to give the students’ knowledge but also to transform the students with the positive skills that will empower them to obtain careers. The department also organizes different types of activities such as Talent Hunt, quiz competitions, seminars, lecture cum demonstrations, guest lectures, etc. throughout the year to develop competence and skills among the students. Along with this, the department also indulges its students in Youth Festivals, intercollege competitions, and performances on different occasions by various societies, which helps students to develop independent and collaborative work habits.

  • Participation in various items in zonal and interzonal youth festival in GNDU.
  • Extension Lectures are delivered.
  • Folk songs competitions, Quiz competitions, Patriotic song competition and Devotional Singing competition are frequently conducted.
