Quick Introduction:

Department of English is one of the oldest departments of the institution which has retained its eminence since years. The objective of the department is not only to make students think differently, but also to groom them in the way that enables them to connect the classroom with the outer world, the knowledge of literature with real life, to ingrain in students a penchant for research and an ability to reason out with critical approach. Traversing the path of quality and excellence, learning from experience and in accordance with the motto of the institution ‘Do Your Job Well’, we have endeavoured to create and disseminate an atmosphere of learning.

Highlights


  • Our students have excelled in both academics and extra curricular activities and won awards for their achievements. Embodying the spirit of the motto of the college ‘Do Your Job Well’ the department strives for multi-faceted development of the students. Student enrichment programmes are carried out throughout the year. These programmes include interclass competitions, organizing workshops for enhancing language proficiency of students, group discussions and giving exposure to students by hi-tech teaching in smart class rooms. The department is also running an Add on Course in Communication Skills.
  • One Language Laboratory cum Smart Class-room facilitates preparation and demonstration of power point presentations to enhance language skills, special training in pronunciation, accent and vocabulary to enhance speaking skills.
